About us

Our background

 

What started in 1986 within the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) grew to a full grown randomization software package used by more than a dozen universities throughout the whole EU. Since 2011 CEO Emile van der Donk and CTO Rob van de Broek build ALEA together with a team of around 20 employees of talented programmers, mathematicians, communication professionals and a quality assurance managers to the professional and more diverse product it is nowadays.

 

Throughout the years the use of ALEA grew. Nowadays ALEA is used by over 45 organizations on over 700 clinical trials. With more than 10.000 clinical users and more than 40.000 patients in ePRO by Medical institutions, hospitals and pharma’s worldwide.
